It’s been 10 months since the Philippine lockdown began, and it looks like things are finally looking up for those of us who love to travel. With news of the vaccine and loosening restrictions, it feels like we can actually start dreaming of going on a vacation again (I do hope so!).

Here’s a quick cheat sheet for the upcoming long weekends and official holidays in the Philippines. (Take note of the maroon-lettered days when you can plot your vacation leave at work!)

Aside from the 12 regular holidays, the Malacañang Palace declared an additional seven special non-working holidays. As of this writing, the dates for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha are still tentative, pending the official pronouncement by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably started looking for stuff to do once we finally get the chance to leave the house. Here are some ideas I’ve found on Klook for these long weekends.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar

Bagac, Bataan

This looks like a great way to spend the day for architecture and history buffs. They have a guided walking tour that will take you along the cobbled roads and past heritage houses that have been restored. It’s worth the long drive, especially if you’re looking for a unique way to spend your first weekend away from home.

The Farm at San Benito Day Pass

Lipa, Batangas

I’ve heard so much about this eco-luxury and medical wellness resort in Batangas and I’m eager to visit. They offer a relaxing wellness experience that I’m sure many of us would benefit from. Check out the discounted price on Klook if you’re looking for a much-needed rest.

Escala Tagaytay

Maharlika West, Tagaytay City

For an upgraded staycation, head over to insta-famous Escala Tagaytay. It’s one of the hotels in Tagaytay with the most breathtaking views of the Taal Volcano, and their service is superb. Check it out if you want to have a stress-free weekend in a comfortable property.
