January Blog Challenge: Focus
To become really good at something, you need to have something more than talent. You need to have laser focus and consistency. You need to have dogged determination to persevere even when you hardly see any results.
This year, I decided that I will stop whining and not undermine myself and start working on the things that I love. I have wasted 28 years wringing my hands in anxiety, wondering whether I had it in me to succeed. I’ve been told over and over again that I’ll never know if I had the ability to do something unless I try. So this year, instead of worrying, I will focus on trying.

I’m a person of simple tastes and wants. All I’ve ever wanted since I was 12 was to have my own room where I can display my notebook collection. When I was 16, I was content to stay in bed and write in my journal. At 22, I thought I needed nothing more than classical music and a bowl of spaghetti.
